The Herald is informed that
our board of education will sub-
mit the question of a high school
aourse, to the patrons of the-
school at the annual school meet
ing, the first Tuesday in next
month. Now let all who favor
puttimr our schools on a higher
plane of usefulness get busy. We
need a high school course. Our
ahildren need it and the town
needs it. The district is plenty
able to pay for one more teacher,
then why not have it.? Let all

PUBLIC SCHOOL NOTES.
Our people have good reasons
to he proud of our public school.
In spite of many adverse circum-
stances we have made some re-
cords tins year. Four of the
pupils took the Eighth Grade
Examinations and-,each one pass-
ed with, exceptionally good
grades. What is more, these ex-
am inations wire conceded by
the teachers to be the most diti
cult ever eiven..
Also, in the attendance, we art!
breaking records. So far, twen-
ty-seven have a perfect record.
Furthermore, four of the five
grauaces have not missed a sin-
gle dav, and from, one family,
four (all the children in the fami-
ly) nave been in school each day,!
two of these are among- the grad j
uates. Hurrah for Fairland.
