mal Institute will be held be-
ginning July 18th. The corps
of teachers are H. C. Fellows
Conductor, and J. P. Evans
andR. E. Johnson Instructors.
The outlook for a large attend-
ance is very flattering and
Superintendent Dixon is plan-
ning to make it the very best
institute ever held in the coun-
ty. Arrangements for caring
for the large number of teach-
ers must be made soon and all
who contemplate boarding or
rooming normal students
should notify Superintendent
Dixon.

The services are growing in
interest daily. The little old
town lias taken on an activity
that was hardly thought possi-
ble. Miss Broom is a speaker
of more than ordinary power
and with her pleasant manner
holds her congregation by the
hour. Miss Gambol sings as
a nightengale and her rich
sweet voice floats out and
draws the people nearer and
nearer. May they continue in
the good work until the entire
town is brought into the fold.

A bunch of Mr. Edwards
cattle, 700, passed through
Bethany Sunday enroute to
Englewood, Ks from Gage.
Rov Hall has purchased a
new buggy. Look out girls
and boys both.
Ravenscraft and Edwards
shipped in 650 head of steers
from Texas. The foreman,
Lot, and the boys went on to
Kansas with the cattle but
Edwards will spend a few
days with his partner.

The May Monitor suggests
that the Woodward and Bea-
ver county editors form them-
selves into an organization to
be known as the Woodward
County Press Association.
This is a good move, and Bro.
Deem is the kind of a fellow
to contribute largely to the
success of such an organiza-
tion. Let every paper in the
two counties express senti-
ments and offer suggestions in
this connection. Let us invest
in a five-cent piece of soap,
wash our ink-smeard hands
and faces, stand our greasy
work-cloths in the corner, bor-

some of it will make 30 bushels
to the acre, counting staw,

Mt. Olive boys were looking
for the May guys out Satur-
day but they didn’t come.
They are afraid of the “cow-
path's” of the Mt. Olive dia-
mond.
Shelby North had his wheat
harvested Monday.
