work being done by our own com-
mittee, and in the progress of other
organizations of allied and kindred
purposes; and we believe that the
spirit of union so manifest in all
Christian work is being carried for-
ward through our endeavors in this
most stubborn of all battles for the
uplift of mankind. We commend
the wisdom of our committee in its
co-operation with the National
Temperance society, the Anti-
Saloon League, the National W.C.T.
U., the National Reform association
and other national and local organ-
izations in the various states in
their contests during the past year.
