Hold Park Picnic
Annual picnic of the local court
of the Catholic Daughters of Amer-
ica was held Wednesday evening
in the small shelter house in Ad-
ams park.
Guests were Rev. Thomas Duf-
fy, Mrs. John P. Kelly, Miss Phil
Mann, Mrs. Theo Hellweg, Mrs.
Ella May Holland, Shawnee, and
Mrs. Veta Wilson.
Members attending were Mrs.
Florence Laird, Miss Sara Salmon,

Warren, Mrs. Bud Menz, Miss Ag-

After the picnic bingo was play-
ed. The group plans to serve a
benefit fried chicken dinner in the
Sacred Heart church hall Aug. 28,
from 5 to 7 p.m.
Next regular meeting will be
Sept. 7 in the church hall.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard M. Zirkle
and daughters, Margaret and Mary
King, left Thursday morning for
their home in San Angelo, Tex.,
following a visit with El Reno
friends. While here they were
guests at the Ranger motel. The
Zirkles formerly lived here.
Mr. and Mrs. John Eakes and
daughter, Nancy, who have been
located at 510 South Ellison, left
Wednesday for Guthrie where they
will make their home. Mr. Eakes
McCains Entertain At
Dinner Tuesday Evening
Mr. and Mrs. W. C. McCain, 207
North K, were hosts Tuesday eve-
ning at a 7 o’clock dinner.
Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Carl
Smith and sons, Donny, and Bob-
by of Azusa, Calif., and Mr. and
Mrs. Roy Brown of Bethany.
