afternoon in the church parlor.
Mrs. Lillie Tompkins, president,
opened the meeting with the de-
votional entitled. “Upon Whom
Much Is Given of Him Shall Be
Mush Required," and the devo-
tional %u dosed With prayer by
Ifrs. R. C. Whenry;
Roll call was answered with fa-
vorite verses from the Bible, and
minutes from the previous meeting
were read and the treasurer’s report
was given by Mrs. XtaU Doeberit*
secretary-treasurer, and approved'
as read.
Mrs. Clifford, who la leaving soon
to make her home in Minneapolis,
Minn., and who has been an out-
standing teacher of the class for a
number of years, gave a talk. Mrs.
M. N. Potts and Mrs. P. N. Irving
thanked the class for cards re-
ceived during the month.
The group then Joined in singing
several hymns with Mrs. W. j.
Halsey at the piano. The program
which followed was presented by
Mrs. Halsey which she opened with
prayer. The meeting was dosed by
repeating the Mispeh benediction.
During the social hour, refresh-
ments were served by the hostesses.
The guests ware sealed at the long
lace-covered table which waa cen-
tered with a bouquet of garden
flower*.
Those attending were Mrs. E. R.
Blanaet, Mrs. W. ’A.' Brown. Mrs.
D. 8. Arnold. Mrs. Otis Anderson,
Mrs. R. 8. Pales, Mrs. E. N. Potts,
Mrs. Rye Sevems, Mrs. P. N. Irving,
Mrs. Clifford, Mrs. Halsey, Mrs.
Tompkins, Mrs. Whenry, Mrs. Doe-
berit* Mrs. Laird and Mrs. Morris.
Mrs. Clifford offered the closing
prayer.
The next meeting will be June 12
and the hostesses will be announced
later.

the final meeting of the school year.
Mrs. William Doyle waa installed
m president: Mrs. Jack Dill, vice
president; Mrs. William C. Swingle,
secretary; Mrs. LeRoy Searcy, treas-
urer, and Mrs. Jerry Xtchor, pub-
licity and historian.
Mrs. Clyde Maxey, president, pre-
aided during the business meeting
when the minutes of the previous
meeting were read and appro vad:
the treasurer’s report was given and
the executive committee gave their
report. It was voted to donate $13
to the Girt Scouts.
Mrs. Dill, program chairman, in-
troduced the program. A trio com-
posed of Mrs. W. B. Blanton, Mrs.
Ramsey K. Hardy and Mrs. James
Hugh Rinehart, accompanied by
Mrs. David DeLana, sang “Rain.”
Mr*. Maxey gave a review of the
year’s work and a valuation of the
year’s program. Mrs. Swingle gave
the year’s financial report and Mrs.
Dill presented a gift to Mrs. Maxey.
Students of the third grade room
presented a musical program under
the direction of Mrs. H. V. TUling-
hast and Miss Rena Plunkett. Ruth
Ann Owen was narrator for the
program entitled “Song Story of
History of Our Nation." Mary Her-
mlne Taylor and Trent Morris sang
a duet.
The third grade room won the
attendance award with the highest
percentage of any room this year.
Refreshments during the social
hour were served by the first, sec-
ond and third grade rooms with
Mrs. Eichor serving as chairman.

state of Oklahoma.

of the war service committee for
the state and Mrs. Madge Mann of
Tulsa is retiring department presi-
dent.

Union City Girl To
Receive Her Degree
Miss Ambrosia MichaUcka, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Mlcha-
licka of Union City, will receive her
degree of bachelor of science from
Mount St. Scholastics college, Achi-
son, Kan., at the commencement
exercises on May 29.
A major in dietetics. Miss Mlcha-
licka has accepted an appointment
to a year's internship at the Uni-
versity of Kansas medical center in
Kansas City, Kan. Upon comple-
tion of this Internship she will be.
a certified dietitian eligible for
membership in the American Die-
tetics association.
Mias MichaUcka is a'member of
the Home Economics dub and the
Confraternity of Christian Doctrine
at Mount St. Scholastics. In bar
junior year she was president of the
CCD and was a member of the col-
lege orchestra for two year* She Is
a graduate of Sacred Heart high-
school in El Reno.
