Uie city dump where he saw two
fe?t of shiny galvanized pipe stick-
ing out of the ground.
Deciding he could use the pipe
at home, he tried to pull It up. No
soap. Then he hooked it to his car
with a lowline and started up.
The pipe refused to yield. In-
stead the axle of ills car gave way.
The pipe was connected with uie

cloves. Add pumpkin, milk, beaten
egg yolk and molasses. Stir until
smooth. Pour into deep 7-in. pie pan

Foe Sweet Potato Pie, tubstitute for
the pumpkin freshly cooked or
canned sweet potatoes or yams, put
through a sieve; reduce brown sugar
to Vi cup, omit molasses and add 4
tcasp. melted butter or margarine.
Foe Squash Pie, follow recipe for
Pumpkin Pie, substituting cooked
winter squash, thoroughly mashed,
for the pumpkin. To cook squash,
cut in pieces, remova seeds, and
steam 45 min., or until tendei.
