Pacific railroad to recover the amount
lost in money orders and registered

ron river bridge at Dover, in King-

Tulsa, Okla.—Judge N. J. Gubaer of
the county court assessed the heaviest
! penalty ever assessed against a liquor
1 law violator in Tulsa county. The vie-
: tim was Walt Steen. His punishment
i was fixed at $500 fine and ninety days
in jail Steen was convicted on the
evidence of two state witnesses who
testified that Steen "steered” them to
a place on a hot day last July wh?re
they secured a bottle of beer each at
50 cents apiece.
