Mr. Richards, a member of the
real-estate firm of Richard Bros,
was in Tangier Wednesday and
called at this office. They have
real-estate offices at Mooreland
and Woodward and expect to put
one in one of the towns west of
Woodward, They will soon put
onenin Beaver county, also, he
talks quite favorably as to Tan-
gier for the location of an offiice
Thursday afternoon of last week
a big hail storm visited the sec-
tion of country about si* miles
south west of here; the qlqud
came from the south and passed
over, then it went back over the
same territory giving them a dou-
ble dose, stones as large as hens'
eggs fell, but as there was no
wind they fell so gently that very
little damage was done.

L. Bowers and wife have taken
charge of the hotel.
F. C. Ward has begun the man-
ufacture of cheese, he has the
necessary equipments for the
work, and has his curing room
well filled with cheese curing for
the market; he expects to realize
a nice profit from them, he has
been offered 17 cents a pound for
them, but he expects to get 20Cts.
This is a good enterprise, and we
hope he will succeed, for it
would not only benefit him, but
the country.

Last Friday afternoon we no-
ticed coming toward our sanctum
our worthy friends—Gwynn, j
Thomason, and Stuart—they in- 1
formed us that they were fore-
runners, but fore-runners of whst
we could not tell, until in a few
moments in came their estimable

ed us a sack, which, after we had

mouth water for there was a lib-
eral offering of cake, not one kind

stomach, but we are inclined to

citement ot receiving cake was
over we tried to find out if these
had been a wedding, no, a birth-
day dinner at W. I. Taylor’s. Mr.

H. B. Long and wife visited
friends near Dewey Sunday.
Bert Moore and Pearl Krepps
were buggy riding Sunday even-
ing.
J. J. Long made a business trip
to Enid last week.
Mesdames Bonner, Conner, and
Annie Long called on Mrs. Miller
on their way home from the bas-
ket meeting Sunday and left her
a supply of good things from their
basket-such as the sick relish
and appreciate. “Pure religion

erless and widows in their afflic-
tion.”
F. O. Brown had the misfortune
to get a fine horse badly cut on
wire one day this weak.
Mr. Sam Caiey intends to start
Saturday for Garfield County to
work through harvest.
