II. Kroblen n Qtrnian prospector
stopping at tile Oar man boarding house
on Went Harrison Avenue Is shy It. j
$20 bills on nccount of having 1 i
underwear washed. This seei
strange but there is rio mystery to ..
except that Mr. Kroblen made a bai.'.s
of his nether garments by sewing
up In the lining of the waist-
band all his wealth. Whea the
uuthrle Steam Laundry returned the
garments nicely laundrered he called
at the o ttlce and accused some one of
Andlng the secret ofhta bank and ex-
tracting the money. A search was In
stituted by Mr. Pond at once and re
sulted In finding small sections of the
two bills on the floor of -the wash
room where the .garments had been
shaken after being rnn through the
washer. Mr. Kroblen was notified of
It and apologised for his error in ac-1
cusing the hands of locating- and tak-
ing his bidden roll. He will have to
send the fragments of the bills to the
United Stater treasury office and see
If he can hitre new ones Issued to him
so as not to lose te $-10.
