conditions all over the ntuto and es-
pecially In the southwestern portion
are growing to serious proportions
uccordlng to an official bulletin is-
uned by the weather bureau here to-
day. Temperatures during the past week
were te:r malile and sunshine was
abundant u. bulletin said.
.A generul deterioration of crops oc-
curred in the central and western
parts of the state on account of the
hard and dry soil it was reported.
Corn not already made it being badly
burned by the citremely hot weather
the report saKI.
Cotton made good progress the past
week according to the report. Con-
siderable shedding was reported from
the southwestern part of the state as
a result vt the heat and ravages by
the boll weevils in the eastern part
of the state were evident.
Cotton has begun to open in the
south and southeastern parts of the
slate. Small crops are in good con-
dition but deteriorating badly in the
west. Pastures are good In the east
ti nd poor In' tlio west.
