Cars will pass Shanoan Springs
every fifteen minues commencing at
6:30 a. m. until 10:45 p. m. Later If

High School Teachers Study.
Miss Jessie D. Newby teacher of
Latin in the Chickasha high school
and Miss Cecil KIrkpatrick teacher in
the domestic science department will
spend several weeks this summer at
Columbia university. They go 'by way
of New Orleans where they take a
boat around the Atlantic coast to New
York. On their return they will visit
several points of interest. Miss Sallie
U. Marks seventh grade teacher at the
high school after a short visit home
will go to Columbia for summer work.
Chickasha Couple Married.
In the presence of twenty or more
relatives and friends Calvin .Cox and
'Miss Iris Ropers were united in mar-
riage Saturday evening at the resi-
dence of the bride's parents Mr. and
Mrs. Will Rogers 511 Choctaw ave-
nue ltev. G. Lyle Smith performed
the ceremony following ; which a
sumptuous supper was served. The
bride and groom left on the night train
for Ft. Worth where they are spend-
ing their honeymoon with relatives.
They expect to return In about a week
and make Chickasha their home.

IS ADJUDGED INSANE.
Wandering aimlessly all out Minco
yesterday Thos. Lelloy aged 38 was
picked up by local officers brought to
Chickasha and this morning adjudged
Insane by the lunacy .board-of the
county. 'Ho was committed to the state
institution at Norman and was taken
there this afternoon. He was appar-
ently rational on "every subject ex
cept that he was in mortal fear of be-
ing whipped. He continually stated
that someone was pursuing him with
a whip 25 feet long. He stated that
he had been in the asylum at Long-
view O. and that his home was in
Cincinnati. Where he came from or
where he was going when picked up
was not learned

SORORITY GIRLS AND BUGS.

Minneapolis Minn. June 1. Sor-
ority girls don't like bed bugs. That
is the intimation drawn today from a
suit of Mrs. Mary Tierney attempting
to recover rent on a lease which mem
bers of the Alpha Omricon PI sorority
are alleged to have Jumped. In de
fense the girls alleged that the bed
bugs in the house they had for a
sorority home and left were "of such
tremendous Importance and propor
tions that the defendants' peace and
happiness were disturbed."

Buying "on tick" Is not new slang.
but goes back to the seventeenth cen-
tury. It Is stated In a letter dated
1661: "The Mermaid Tavern Is late-
ly broke our ticks amounting to
1500." And In another document a
little later It is said: "Every one
runs upon tick."
