The inch or no of rain on the 22nd
and half that much on the 21tt has
put crops and pastures in better condi-
tion. Bro. Walters accompanied by Geo
Simmons and bis famous Ford went to
Englewood the other day on business.
As it was the Brother's first visit there
he was much impressed with the many
evidences of prosperity and advance
ment that has been made by the far
mers in recent years. Although rain
is baJly needed In spots crops are look-
ing fairly well and hesaw wheat ready
for the sickle that will make 10 bushels
per acre. He was much interested in
the manner in which the farmers have
! harnessed the poor old Cimmaron of
song and story. It has left its former
place of abode and is now wandering
peacefully among the farmers paying
oil mortgages and doing other useful
things The stacks of alfalfa along the
road looked good to us. Englewood is
a well built prosperous little place
with two banks several good .sired
mercantile establishments ana' a live
progressive newspaper whose editor is
one of those genial whole-souled hu-
man kind of fellows that we like to
meet. He spoke very highly of the
Beaver press paying a special compli-
ment to The Herald and its editor.

PAIGE
Most Beautiful Car intomca
July 15th-On This
Date Paige Prices
Will Be Advanced
We have formally announced that the list price of
every car in the Paige line will be very substan
tially increased on July 15th.
We have explained that thi? step is unavoidable
because or the steadily advancing costs of manu
facturing materials labor and alt elements'entenng
into the production of a quality product
In making this advance announcement we feel that
we have done complete justice to the many
hundreds of people who have been planning to
purchase one of our cars They now know
definitely when the increased prices are .scjicd'
uled to take effect and will be guided accordingly
There is one very important point though that
we would like to emphasize at this time.
Owing to the scarcity of materials our production
between now and July ith will necessarily be .
limited We are doing all that we possibly can
to keep step with public demand but it 13 a
foregone conclusion that there will not be
enough Paiges to go round.
As a last thought in regard to this matter o'f price
please remember that the Paige has long since
demonstrated its independence of all "price
fields " American men and women now buy a
Paige not because of the price tag which is
' attached to it but because of its well estab-
lished reputation as a tine mechanical product.
