The little daughter of Mr. nnd Mrs.
H. M. Bulick of Elmwood. who was
reported last weok us being a victim of
infantile paralysis is reported some-
what improved. Wo trust that the
iittlo ono may continue to improve
rapidly. This disease is a new one and
bailies the skill of the most eminent
doctors. We rcgrut to notice its ap-
pearance in our county nnd trust a
further spread of the malady may not
occur.

The Dorcas Socloty tho Iittlo girls'
society of tho Christian Church has
opened up for buslnoes in tlio small
building adjoining Hodge & Co. They
will sell doll rags homo-made candy
etc. Success to tho Iittlo workers.
While there Is not much capital in-
volved there is a whole lot of enthu-
siasm on tho part of tlio little workers.

Wo trust that it may not be many
days before stops will bo taken to got
rid of tho Band washed into the strcttj
by the recent rnlns. The street lead-
ing to tho court house is a fright and
the Town Board or whoso ever duty
it is to sec to it should havo tho sand
removed. It Is only washed in on top
of tho hard dirt and a few teams and
scrapers would suon remove It. Will

Another wedding that is scheduled
to take place this fall is that of Miss
Mabel Krapf daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
John Krnpf and Mr. Harry Wellborn.
Miss Krapf Is a graduate of tho '00
class of tho Wichita high school. She
is an exceptionally brilliant girl and
besides is very charming. Mr. Well-
born h In the advertising department
of tho Eagle. Ho came hero several
months ago and Is vory popular among
his friends. Tho ditto for the wedding
has not been set.
