To Tho Guilty.
Merchants who want newspaper men
to roast grocer peddlers cheap John
stores nnd the like would make news-
paper men feel more like doing it if
those same men would quit using the
free letter heads of fruit firms nnd
gargling oil envelopes baking powder
statements sidewalk adrertisements
nnd rubber stamps nnd patronize
home offices. Er.
SOME FOLKS WOULD LIKE TO
KNOW:
If tho Republican party of Bearer
county needs a Moses to lead them out
of tho wilderness. Wc think not.
If lemon extract is really a good
Btimulaut.
How some people manage to have so
much time to loaf and aro atill so
"U'y."
If a certain young lad in town who
run n nnil In her feot really hag an'idca
of learning the carpenter's trade.
If some of those who attond church
to-night and look pious won't bo seen
later tripping tho light fantastic.
If Per una has the same effect on all
people.
If Georgo-AVashington-Thomas-Jef-ferson-Dark
town ever received his pay
for "sitin in dis heah 'vention." Anu
if they didn't do tho wrong thing by
sending him to Cully for his pay.
If it Wouldn't bo n good idea to turn
the chairs around at the church so thnt
those who have to look around contin-
ually wouldn't run such a risk of get-
ting a kink in their neck.
When that young man expects to
leave for Arizona.
If some Beaver people won't hnve to
get an increase in their wagos to cover
the wear and tear of shou leather or
el so cut out so much Sunday promena-
ding. If somb of our fairer sex of Beaver
were really so cold Saturday afternoon
or only had new coats.
If Art Thomas Jr. really did say
"Papa" tho other day or if Art Sr.
only imagined It all.
If the true-blue Republicanism of our
wortny contemporary isn't apt to bo
spoiled by association witli certain
Democratic officials. Perhaps politics
are not discussed on Sundny nights
though.
When tho Four Hundred expect to
break tho news to tho common people
If the "They say" neonle hadn't
better giro the source of their infor-
mation or else keep silent.
If it wouldn't be just ns creditable
to rob tho bank as to rob tho cashier
of his- .
If Beaver City is really so much
of n military affair ns the Journnl
would lead the people to believe and
if not where Colonel Major General
nnd Captain So-nnd-So hail from.
If there weren't somo choice solos
rendered nt church Sunday night and
If it wouldn't be lust as well to sing n
song onco in awhile so that the con-
gregation might "jlne in on tho
chorus."
If those people can produco tho
eridencc that the cackling of geese
saved Rome.
Whnt would have happened had one
of the abstract men lost his grip on the
table.
If Beaver can furnish yards for nil
the railroads that are headed this way.
If that young man hadn't better
take a lease on the sidewalk in front
of the photo gallery.
What would happen if certain Beav
er gossips would stumble onto tho
truth once in awhile.
