ther was resting easy and would remain
at St. Joseph's hospital Kansas City
to receive treatment several days after-
whioh he would go ou to Exzolsior
Springs. Dr. Muosell accompanied
Mr. Tracy to Kansas City.
A. W. Siillwell traveling freight
agent of tho Santa Fe railroad was
in Beaver this week looking over the
resources of the county preparatory to
making a report to the Company. Mr.
Stillwell informs us that it was uot at
all unlikely that the Saota Fo would
extend from Englewood and that in
all probability it would strike Beaver.
The lact that he was sent here to
look of or tho county is evidence that
thore is something doing iu that line
and we may expect to hear nioro of
the mnvo at an early date. Railroads
build in their own mysterious manner
and just wbit they expect to do is Dot
disclosed. Tno fact that other roads
are looking over this country with a
view toux'eudiug their lines here has
aroused the older Hues who have had
their eyes on ibb Quid for a long timo.

good has been accomplished and tbe
good influence will be 'felt in Beaver
for some time.
Rev. Leonard the now minister of
tho Presbyterian church arrived in
Beaver last week and took charge of
tho work in this field. Ho preached
bis first sermon here Sunday morning
and was heard by a largo audience.
We hnpo that he may receive tho help
and encouragement to which wo feel
that lie in justly entitled. Beaver has
needed a good minister for a long time
and now that we have secured the k'ud
of a man that can carry the work on
successfully it is tho duty of one and
all to lend him their help.
