Whereas, the business interests
sod public convenience of the
citizens of the County of Swanson,
Oklahoma, to be done performed
and transacted by the duly elected,
qualified and acting County Off*
icers of said Swanson County, at
suoh place and in such manner as
will best subserve the public in
tereats and with the least expense
and.
Whereas the pnblio business of
said County has been transacted
temporarily, at Mt. Park, Okla-
homa, and,
Whereas, the facilities at Mt.
Park for the transaction of public
but ine8S and accommodationof the
county officers are wholly in-
■nfficitnt in the way of buildings,
office rooms, archives for public
records, hotel accommodations
and residences for the officers of
said county, and.
Whereas, upon n careful in
vealigation of the facts, we find
that the Town of Snyder, has
ample and sufficient accommod-
for the convenience of the public
and the officers of aaid county to
properly and economically ad-
minister the affairs of the county
government, with dispatch and
due regards for the safety of all
public records and property en*
trusted to the charge of aaid Co-
unty officers, and.
Whereas, no oounty seat had
been located by law for the trans-
ation of the business affairs of
aaid county of Swanson which si
wholly without any seat of go var-
ment at this time, legal ly establish-
ed, and it ia necessary for the
public good that a seat of Gover*
ment for the aaid county of Swan-
eon be located and established,
Now therefore, be it Resolved
by tbe Board of County Com
missioner. of 8wanson County in
business session assembled, the
county seat of aaid county be,
and the asms ia hereby located
end established at Snyder, Swan-
son connty, state of Oklahoma;
that from the date of the passage
and adoption oi this resolution,
all of the public business and af
faire of the County of Swanson be
transacted at Snyder, Oklahoma
by each and all of the county
officers of said Swanson Connty,
and that all of tbe books, papers,
ilee, records and property be-
longing to said Swanson Connty
be transfeired to the eonnty
seat hereby located and establish
ed, as soon as the same can be
conveniently doue. The Connty
Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to remove said books,
pupers, files, records and property
to the said connty seat hereby
located and established.
Be it farther resolved that the
county clerk spread a copy of
this resolution upon the minutes
ot the commiesioners, together
with a record of their action
tliereou; that said county clerk be
further directed to notify etch
and all of the oouutv officers, in
writing of the action of the com-
missionere hereon, and direct
them to open, establish and
maintain their respective offices
at tbe oounty seat herein located
and established and transact all
of the further business of their
respective offices at said county
seat at Snyder, Oklahoma.
