Every time you read in th» papers about a burg-
lary you'll notice the burglars GOT something. That's
their BUSINESS. They first find out where the
money is hidden—THAT'S their business. And they
will KILL you if they must to get your money.
A Bank's business is to have thick walls and strong
locks to PROTECT your money. And When you need
it, you can GET it just the some.

THE TAYLOR PHARMACY
C. C. Wey. manager of the
Wey Hardware Company, was
stricken suddenly last Thursday
night with an attack of appendi-
citis. Dr. Taylor, the atteniinsr
physician, deemed it necessary
to hold a consultation, and Dr.
Harrraves of Wichita Falls, Tex-
as. was called, who arrived the
following day. The consultation
was held and an operation ad-
vised, Dr. Hargraves perform-
ing it Friday nipht, assisted by
the following physicians: Dr.
Taylor of Eldorado, Dr. Bonham
of Hobart, Dr. Norton of Man-
gum, the latter a brother-in-law
of Mr. Wey, and Dr. Buck of
Eldorado. Relatives present
were a brother, Mr. Arthur Wey
of Hobart and Mrs. George of
Manitou, Okla., a sister. Mrs. E.
M. Francis of Eldorado, also a
sister. His mother from Wichi-
ta, Kans., arrived this week.
Mr. Wev has suffered several
attacks previously to this, but an
operation had been postponed.
He was attending to his affairs
up to the time he was stricken
last week and was apparently in
good health and spirits and had
his attention upon the opening
of .the new store, which had
been extensively advertised.
However, he has the services of
trained nurse and it is thought
i he withstood the operation
nicely he will be out in the course
of a few weeks,
Mr. Wey is one of the leading
business men of Eldorado, a
wide-awake, progressive citizen,
and it is exceedingly regretted
by everyone that he is in his
present condition.
Pasture for Hogs
It has boen proven that there
is unusually little, if any. pr;
fit in growing pies in a dry lot.
The best hog raisers say that if
the pig can be grown upon pas
ture to three-fourths of his
market size they can afford to
finish him on high-priced grain.
But some men complain that
they have no hog tight fence, so
cannot pasture the hogs. A
tenant farmer I vieited last sum
mer wai keeping his pigs, in a
movable pen which was moved
about over the sorghum patch.
An old culiivator wheel was put
on each corner of the pen when
it had to be mdVed, so one man
could push it along without fit-
ting the pigs out. J. E. Payne,
Snyder, Okla.
Employes at Gyp
Mill Get a Raise
O. M. Knode cf Chicago, man-
ager of operation of the United
States Gypsum Company's mill
at Eldorado, was here the first
of the week and raised the
wages of the employes of the
nidi about 12 per cent. We un-
derstand this was unexpected on
the part of the men who work
there, but of course the raise
was accepted and appreciated.
There are about forty employ-
es at the mill and this means
that the pay roll here will
amount to much more than
usual. Eldorado is proud of her
big Gyp mill and hopes it will
continue to prosper.
