THE MAN TIllBLNE
7£7?
Since I9 like all fair-minded Americans do not
believe in convicting anyone on hearsay and
innuendo I am going to give you facts— facts
which are matters of public records— records
which are open for your inspection poor and
rich alike
How Long Oh! Lord?
Wheeler Mayo’s Poor Farm
For Lo! These Many Years
Yet the TIMES has the gall to prate about taxes Americanism politics and patrotism The Gall
to try to think for YOU FREE-BORN AMERICANS
"LET’S GIVE HONAH WHEAII IIONiI IS DUE"
llow do you TAXPAYERS like the feel of
Mayo’s hand in your pockets f Every year you
havo to pay an extra levy (which increases your
tax rate) in order to pay off judgements to Wheeler
Mayo none of these judgements have ever hern
assessed ns intangible as required hy law He
does not care how much tax you pay The only
(ax he is interested in are those that find their way
into hie pocket This has been stopped and he is
squealing like n pig under a gale
Did He Pay For The Poor
Farm With Money Marbles
or Chalk?
Exploiting of the poor by the unscrupulous was
one oi the main reasons why such outrages against
civilization as poor farms were ever brought into
existence It would be little wonder if their
ghosts walk on dark nights at the old county poor
larm in Sequoyah County
On October 26 1946 Wheeler Mayo bought the
old sixty (60) acre county farm deed recorded
on page 435 in book 180 in the County Clerk’s of-
fico In 2 2 51 he leased it to the R A Young Co
in 1 ook 196 page 360 who then assigned it the same
day to the Sallisaw Stripping Company for coal in
book 196 page 558 There is a new frame house
on thi3 place yet it has never been assessed to him
He has not payed one dime in taxes on it since he
has owned it It has been carried on the tax-rolls
continuously' as non-taxable County Farm until I
corrected this outrage against other TAXPAYERS
I am sure that tho men and BOYS who were kill-
ed and maimed in Korea and in World War II (es-
pecially those who spont time in captive hell holes)
have no regrots that their suffering made it impos-
sible for unscrupulous carron to fatten at the ex-
pense of the trusting tho unwise the unfortunate
and the poor However those who came back and
their folks are awakening
