IDABEL LOST a most valuable
pioneer citizen ki the death of
Sam Sellers Tuesday morning
Sellers was law and order per-
sonified for Idabel and Mc Curtain
county during most of this area's
hectic rough-and-tumble "growing
pains" days when major crimes
were the expected and murders
were frequent
His exploits as an officer includ-
ed such things as shooting it out
with bank robbers in the streets of
Idabel and going after and getting
men wanted for crimes up to and
including murders
Sellers' steadfast devotion to his
duties should be given a lot of
credit to bringing law and order
to this area

and Bill Norwood and Mort Welch

during the recent season and did
not spot a deer

ed outside his home right here in
town and was amazed to see a

area long enough for Prince to
call some of his neighbors to see
it
