On account of rain for the
past two weeks the agricultural
and business interests of Monroe
county have suffered losses
which at the present time
would be difficult to estimate
but conservative estimates place
the figures at $150000 to

Texarkana Oct 9— It is an-
nounced that the Kansas City
Southern Railway will at once
rebuild its depot and general
office buildings which were de-
stroyed by fire several weeks
ago at this place
The burned buildings were of
I wood but it is understood the
new structure willbe of brick
and will occupy the former site
storage while many more
are being disposed of in other
ways Dried fruit is no longer
spoken of by the pound but
rather by the ton or carload
Many growers have taken the
matter of hunting a market into
their own hands and some have
succeeded quite well which is
having a good effect on the local
market and it is felt that in a
short time about all the first
class apples can be disposed of at
satisfactory prices — Fayette-
