hero last night to take charge of thn
convention and will preside at all
meetings.
Preparations -were being completed
here yesterday afternoon and last
night for over 200 visitors. Guard
teams from El -Reno Sapulpa Shaw-
nee Oklahoma City and the lorsl
team are to participate In the pub-
Uc program tonight. The Sapulpa
team arrived ta the city yesterday
afternoon. . .
- In addition Lawton ta sending 33
delegates overland to the convention
and delegates are expected from -Enid
Guthrie Drumrlght Okmulgee
snd other cities over the state. Mrs.
H. H. West district deputy' said
today.
In the opening session this morn-
ing at the E(ks hall Mrs. Lula Untsh
of this city delivered tho welcome
address on behalf of the Chlckashn
ladies.
During tho afternoon today It Is
planned to taka the visitors for a
tour over the city following the noon
hour. A short business session Is
ta he held this afternoon. . Tho
session today are to be confined to
the hearing of reports from the
delegates.
Tonight at 6 oclock a public pro-.
gram has been planned. 31 ay or l
A. Pearmon Is scheduled to deliver
the welcome address at that time.
In addition to the drills by the
various teams several musical num-
bers and readings are planned on
the program.
Following thn session Wednesday
morning tho delegates are to he
entertained at a banquet to he
served by the ladies of the Metho-
dist chnrch in the churrh banquet
hall at 12 o'clock. The closing
session Wednesday afternoon Is to
be concluded with the election of
officers and designation of a meeting
place for next year.
