The annual report of State Treas-
urer James Menefee shows that the
15000000 cash school fund since it
was transferred to Oklahoma and up
to November 30 1908 has earned In
Interest (23178939 which Includes In-
terest received from the United States
government
Tbe state treasurer Inherited from
the territorial days the account of the
Capital National bank the defunct
Guthrie Institution which amounted to
(3660099 On December 13 1907 lif-
ter Mr Menefee took charge of the
office the receiver of the Institution
declared a dividend paying to the state
(2736705 This leaves a balance due
the state of (923394 for which the
state holds receiver's certificates The
receiver announces that another divi-
dend of 10 per rent win be declared
soon which will be sufficient to more
than repay the balance due the state
The report shows the total amount
of state general revenue warrants out-
standing to be (79086806 of which
amount (77538081 have not been paid
for want of funds and the balance of
(1548725 representing general reve-
nue warrants outstanding that have
been called hut have not been pre-
sented for payment

taxes due from counties from 1891-2

are twenty-seven counties from which
delinquent taxes are due the greatest

The Western Union Telegraph com-
pany has perfected an appeal to the
supreme court from a recent order
of the corporation commission cutting
