VOTERS ATTENTION!
The voters of Districts 10 11 13
and 14 will vole at the Dolling Place
selected by the School Board Saturday
afternoon on the question of form-
ing a Union Graded School District
They will also vote on the question of
whether or not transportation will be
provided by the Union Graded Dis-
trict provided one is formed
It is to the interest of all to vote
on these questions A new High
School is very necessary if Haskell
Schools are to advance as they should
The country districts need high school
training ns well as the town They
cannot obtain it without great expense
unless they help build a high school
building at some central point as Has-
kell Many of the parents in the ru-
ral districts will not be able to get
the full educational training for their
children unless they are furnished
transportation District 15 expressed
the willingness to unite with Haskell
if we would give them transportation
The objection District 12 offered
that they would be at too great on ex-
pense unless transportation would be
provided It would require not more
than two school wagons to bring the

group now working in this seel ion of
Asia-Minor for the relief of the perish-

the way of the world to Christianity

most loyal allies in the World War
This American organization is repott-
ed by international statesmen as en
gaged upon the most diplomatic and
humanitarian task ever attempted by
any Relief Organization
In 1918 the American Red Cross
withdrew its forces from the Neat
East and turned not only a vast stock
of medical supplies and food but also
a portion of its personnel to aid the
Near East Relief organization In the
! successful accomplishment of its gi-
gantic task in order to avoid duplica-
tion of relief effort in the field where
out l people only 2000000
remained
As will he noted by the map this
organization makes no attempt to ad-
minisiir to European fields — conserv-

THE WHITE LIGHT
OF HISTORY
The lines upon which this country
developed during the first half
century of its national life were
largely determined by the inven-
tion of the cotton gin and applica-
tion of steam to rail and water
transportation and to manufac-
turing dn 1890 the population of the en tire
Oklahoma and Indian Terri-
tories was 258657-scarcely great-
er than the present-day popula-
tion of Oklahoma’s four largest
cities
Ts it too much to say that what we
call public utility services have as
powerfully affected national and
local development during the last
half century or that they have en-
larged life increased business
multiplied comforts improved
health spread happiness and aid-
ed efficient living?
Through the performance of es-
sential services the growth and
development of our organization
has gone hand in hand with that
of Oklahoma and this community

In The Course of Human Events
there comes to every man and woman a desire to own a
home of their own A very laudable ambition and one
that may be realized in most cases if the desire is strong
enough
Many people are thinking of building a home now but
are waiting for prices to come down Prices of lumber
have come down and we honestly behave they will not
come down further but will go a little higher Many
saw mills are closed and most of them that are running
are on part time This is because lumber dealers even
though their stocks are low are not ordering When
they begin ordering what will be the result? What is
always the result when demand exceeds the supply?
Prices go up
If you are not thinking of building why not? Begin
now we can help you
