More Business For Darrow
The big sales advertised by
our merchants has brought peo-
ple to Darrow from other towns
and from neighborhoods beyond
every neighboring village and
post office hamlet. No town in
Blaine county is working up as
good bargains and square deals
as is Darrow—the increase in
patronage attests this. The
farmers of the north end of this
county are looking this way and
their $$$ are felt in our marts.
Insurance Inspector Here
W. C. Hawbecker, insurauce
inspector of the insurance asso-
ciation, who makes his home at
Oklahoma city, was in Darrow
the last few days taking a sur-
vey of the town and its build-
ings. This insures a rating for
the town which was hitherto im-
possible to get. Mr. Hawbecker
is of the opinion that the insur-
ance rate in, Darrow when ad-
justed by the rating bureau, will
be monerate. The only objec-
tion of importance is the pier
foundations to some of the build-
ings.
Darrow Surprised Them
S. E. Ballard,of Litchfield. 111.,
and R- S. Smith, of Boltimore,
Maryland, were pleasant visit-
ors at Darrow Sunday. They
were well pleased with the looks
of the country and marveled at
the growth of our town; they
could hardly believe that such a
model city could be built up as
this since the first of March.
Longdale Getting Busy
Longdale is moving to secure
the West India Short Line, ac-
cording to the Ledger. That pa-
per states that the citizens held
an enthusiastic meeting Monday
night, at which action was taken
upon the propositon of the rail-
road company. At the meeting
those present subscribed for 51
shares of stock and a committee
was empowered to solicit furth-
er subscription. There is every
probabilty that the time is not
far distant when our neighbors
of Longdale will have a direct
railroad line over which they can
visit us.
A Word for Dr. Templin
of things to boast of, and quite
a number of people to feel proud
of. One of the many good and
up-to-date fellows is Dr.E.O.Tem
plin. He is working up a good
practice, notwithstanding that
this is one of the healthiest
countries on earth. He has han-
dled every case with success
and has therefor merited the
best of recognition. Several of
the cases he attended were very
severe and were handled with a
skill that would have been a
credit to an old practitioner.
You can go a good ways before
you can find a more competant
man than Dr. O. E. Templin.
The Place of voting shall be at the building located on Lot
Six (6) in Block Seventy-two (72) in the Town of Darrow. Blaine
County, Oklahoma Territory.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, we have hereunto set our hands I
as inspectors, this the 14th day of November, A. D. 1905.

Company Store Opens up Sratifyinn
The company store opened up
on Tuesday as had been announ-
ced. Many of the goods were
delayed in shipping, hence did
not arrive for the opening; but
a very creditable amount was
sold from the nice, fresh stock
that was unpacked. The open-
ing stock of groceries did not
arrive until Tuesday evening
and the stock of clothing had not
arrived for the opening either.
It was plainly noticable yes-
terday that the manager, Wm.
Lang, was almost incapacitated
for work from fatiegue; it is a
big job to get a big stock of goods
ready for the trade and Mr.
Lang's nerves held up remark-
ably well under the strain.
