"We've got a suspect in mind," Guthrie Police chief Leroy Sears said. Caption: "A Guthrie motorist who piled up a backlog of traffic tickets recently is being sought for questioning in connection with the destruction of a police car here. The car, parked behind the Guthrie police station, was set afire, apparently by an arsonist, shortly after midnight Tuesday, police said. "We've got a suspect in mind," Guthrie Police chief Leroy Sears said. "He was arrested two days ago on drug possession and also had a lot of traffic tickets," the police chief said, adding the suspect had phoned in threats...........Night dispatcher Kenneth Hirzel said he heard a door slam outside the station about 12:40 a.m. Tuesday. The car was demolished within minutes, Chief Sears said. "The fire station's only half block away. That car burned in just a matter of minutes," he said. A shotgun on an electronically controlled rack melted and $2,000 worth of radar and radio equipment was charred, he added."
