City Schools Opened.
The city schools opened this morning
in all the buildings, including the high
school building which was occupied for
the tirst time. At the school hour sever-
brought colored children, some of them ac-
companied lK* their parents, came to
the high s' hool and Blaine buildings
and asked to be admitted but they were
refused by Pn f. Augustine as he had
no authority to receive them, and the
were all directed to go to the school
