OKLAHOMA AWAKE!
Oklahoma is awakening to the fact that America is at war We showed
it when we flooded the bai k ; with subscriptions to the Liberty Loan in ti e
eleventh hour and oyer-subscribed our c|uota.
BUT THIS IS THE BAREST BEGINNING
We were asked merely to lend our money last week, at a fnir l.ite of
interest and with the best security in the world behind it. We will be asked to
CiIVE soon. We will give of our time and money, we will give of our familj many cases it is hard to find the divid-

of deformities and all nervous and
I chronic diseases of men. women and
children, offer to all who call on this

free, making no charge wh itever, ex-
cept the actual cost of treatment. All
that is asked in return for these valu-
able services is that every person
treated will state the result obtained
to their friends and thus prove to the
sick und afflicted in every city and lo-
cality, that at last treatments have
been discovered that are reasonably
sure and certain in their effect.
These doctors are among America's
leading stomach and nerve speciali-ts
and are experts in the treatment of
chronic diseases and so gr^at and won-
derful have been their results that
and friends, many of us will giv.' with our lives.
We are fighting a defensive war, just as truly as if the Teutons were
already devastating the fieldi of Oklahoma instead of the fluids of Alsace-Lor-
raine. Had Prussian science found a method of coping with the liritish navy,
von Hidenberg s generals might already be plotting systematic destruction for
America as they have plotted and executed systematic destruction ovei Europe.
WILHELM'S ARMY MUST NEVER REACH OIJR SHORE
They have boasted that America will pay. WE MUST PAY. And we
can either pay the price of victory and freedom or we and our children will pay
the price of defeat.
V\ hat we must do NOW is to shoulder the tusk of the struggle, throw
the full weight of onr strength ami resources behind our government and stop
the toll of destruction anil death just as quickly as possible.
The longer we wait to do this, the fewer of our sons will return. The
louder may be the cry of women for food.
Tho?e who can join the colors iuw should go. The regular army is call-
ing for men. The navy is calling for them. Even our own national guard is
700 men short of war strength.
But those who go to the front, although they make the greatest sacri-
fice, fight only liaT the battle. Nations are fighting now, not armies merely
The farmer is fighting for his country when he produces an extra bushel
of grain, the mother when she saves an ounce of bread, the laborer when he
leaves a task well done, the office man when his increased efficiency releases
another for the front, the fartory or the farm.
The war will not stop business. 4It must not. We must produce, trans-
port and manufacture more than ever bsfore. Half the world is depending on
us now. and our future depends upon how well we supply them.
