land county to succeed J. B. Wheelis, this
day residned.
Whereas, J. B. Wheelis, heretofore sheriff
of C leveland county, State of Oklahoma, has
this, day tendered his resignation as such
sheriff to take effect at onec; and whereas
his resignation having been in all things ac-
cepted. and a vacancy has occurred in the
sheriff's office of said county and state:
Now, Therefore, on application of W. II.
Newblock, of Cleveland county, Oklahoma for
the appointment of sheriff of said county, he,
the said W. 11. Newblock is hereby appoint-
ed as sheriff of Cleveland County. State of
Oklahoma, conditioned upon his executing

Authorizing and directing the calling of an
election for the purpose of voting upon the
question of issuing the negotiable coupon
bonds of Stella Township, Cleveland County.

the roads of said township by draining ami
grading and the construction of culverts.

it advisable to call an election for the pur

sioners met adjourned session this the 26th
day of April, 1919, with R. F. McBride, chair-
man, and /. K. Westervelt member, and E.
B. Helms, county clerk. When the following
business came before them:
RESOLUTION
\\ hereas, the County Commissioners of
Cleveland County, having met on thi 26th day
of April. 1910, pursuant to advertisement duly
had in the Cleveland County Enterprise, for
the purpose of receiving bids for the con-
struction of a certain steel I-beam bridge up-
concrete abutments, as set forth in the is-
sues of said paper of April 17, and 24th, 1919,
and at the hour set for that purpose no bids
were received, now,
Therefore, be it resolved that there be sub
stituted for said plan a reinforced concrete
arch, known as S-O 15, Oklahoma Depart-
ment of Highways Standard, same to be 1*
feet long and to have abutments 5 feet
high, and that contract for the construction
of said arch be entered into with the < >klaho-
Bridge Co., for the sum of $1400.00. Bridge
is locally known as "Dripping Spring."

In the matter of letting contracts:
A contract was entered into between the
Board of Couny Commissioners of Cleveland
County, Oklahoma, and the Oklahoma Bridge
Company, of Oklahoma C ity. Whereas, the
contractor is to erect one S. O. 15 reinforced
concret arch 18 feet long by about 5 feet
high at Dripping Springs at Noble, Okla, be-
tween sections 30 and 31, 8 north 1 west for
the sum of $1400.00, contractor will furnish
necessary labor, material and tools and
erect complet in place in accordance woth
plans and specifications.
It was then ordered that the Honorable
Board of County Commissioners adjourn until
the next regular meeting May 5th, 1919.

used solely for the purpose of improving the
roads of said Township by draining and grad

Sectoion 4. That a continuing annual tax
sufficient to pay the interest on said bonds
when flue and for the purpose of providing a
sinking fund with which to pay thc principal
ot said bonds when due shall be and is here-
by ordered levied upon all the taxable pro-
perty of said district, in addition to all otli
er taxes, said sinking fund to be designated,
'The Road Improvement Bonds of 1919 Sink-
ing Fund," said tax shall be and is hereby
ordered certified, levied and extended upon
the tax rolls and collected by the same of
ficers, in the same manner and at the same
as the taxes for general purposes in each of

tax shall be placed in said sinking fund,
which together with all interest collected on
