Harmony
Mrs. Wm. Thorn is on the sick
: list.
About sixty neighbors and
■ friends surprised Claude Mahoney
j Saturday night, it being his 18th
birthday. As he works in the
.cotton factory at Guthrie it was
' easily managed. His father went
'after him and did not get home
! until all were thare. He receiv-
| ed a number of nice post cards
| besides other nice presents. With
i games and music the hours soon
passed, and about eleven o'clock
1 a fine lunch of cake, pie, lemon-
' ade and apples were served. Mr.
! |ohn Mahoney and wife, Mr. aud
Mrs Revnolds and John and
i Helen Drew, of Guthrie, were
lout. We certainly wish Claude
| many more surprises.
Mr. Henry finished drilling
sixty acres of wheat Saturday.
The first he drilled is up and look-
ing fine, but ii all needs lain.
Mr. Buzzard has bought the
hardware at Navina, and will have
a sale next month on his farm
and will then move to Navina.
John Mahoney has rented Mrs.
Noble's farm. Mrs Noble and
her father, H. II. Daniels, will
move to California for the winter.
Mr. Datin went walnut hunt
Sunday and brought home about
six bushels.
Mr. Snyder and family and Mr.
Lawsons visited Mr. Hobsons last
Sunday. After doing full justice
to Mrs. Hobson s good dinner hei
father proposed a walk down in
his woods pastuae where there
are fine old trees and springs
and a rock quary and last but
not least some fine large persim-
ons. How we wished we hadn't
ate so much dinner.
