Last Saturday afternoon the 1
fire alarm was given and the I
volunteer bucket brigade made a
dash for the scene of the blaze,
which was S. W. Hogans resi-
dence. Mr. Hogan had been
burning the grass in his yard
when the fire caught in a vine j
on the front porch and began
consuming the porch floor and
also caught in the roof. Quick
action with several buckets of
water saved the house with but
little damage done.
