At last Wilson has been obliged
to order the national guard to
mobolize and prepare foi duty
along the Rio Grande. Carranza's
generals have issued ultimatums
to American army officers, and
ordered them to stay north or the
boundry, with the exception ot
Pershing's command and they
have ordered him not to move
any other direction than back to
the U. S Of course Carranz.i is
in a tight place, and he knows it
would be impossible tor Mexico
to win"in a war with the United
Slates, but he is being pushed
into this either by his own peoj 1
or by some foreign power. He
and Ins followers have already
demonstrated their inability to
cope with a handful of outlaws,
and surely the realize that they
could stand no show with well
trained, well armed soldiers. The
boys along the border will un
doubtedly continue to pursue all
bandits that cross into american
territory, and if the result be war
Catranza will find that ins neigh
bors on the north, while trying
to stay out of trouble will not
shun it when once it is started

Keep in mind we are to have a
fair here this fall. We can do it
Any number of towns no larger
than this in the state are to have
fairs this fall. They have tried
it previous to this yeai and find
that a fair is a community build
er, and are now endeavoring to
make it an annual event We
have the farm products and lots
of good stock in this community
and can put on a show worth
while. Let's get together.

THE KICKER.
Do not be a chronic kicker. Chuck
the grouch and come across, put youi
shoulder to the wheel and help us go.
We can use you to advantage so come
through and shake the moss, pull the
weeds and let the roses have a show,
So if you are only stalling and don't
care to move ahead, you had better
step aside get in to clear, you are only
standing in the way, your motive pow.
eT is dead or it must be your trans-
mission stripped the gear. For if you
have no ambition you are but a pile
of junk, blocking up the course of oth
ers with an aim, spreading gloom in-
stead of sunshine spinning out a line
of bunk, that will never list you in
the Hall of Fame. Get together, think
it over, there must be a reason why.
Your Creator has placed you upon the
earth; you have talents that are use-
ful, forces that you should apply, so
get busy, show the world what you are
Worth. Do not tell how you would do
it if you were your fellow man. How
you could improve on all that has been
done. Get in action, crank the engine,
go in for a coat of tan. Others far-
