Jasper A. Guthrie and Elsie Delia
Olark of Moore aged 24 and 18 were
issued a license to wed as were also
Arthur Jones and Katie Fox of Nor-
man 23 and 18 years.
J. E. Dayis has filed suit for fore-
closure on the picture machine and
fixtures of the Dreamland. He holds
a mortgage against them for $150 on
a note which Morgan gave him some
time ago and which is long past due.
Cora E. Robinson has filed a peti-
tion for divorce from Ollie Robinson
and for custody of their child. Neg-
lect, non-support and want of any ef-
fort to provide for her and child she
alleged as grounds for wanting di-
vorce.
E J. Osborne formerly of this city
but who has been running the San-
ta Fe Hotel at Purcell for some time
sold out and came to Norman Sat-
uraay to visit old triends and look
for an opening to go into some kind
of business.

Deputy Sheriff Poster of McLain
County was here this morning and
took charge of J. W. Porter who has
just finished a sentence here for us-
ing profane langnage. Porter is
wanted at Purcell on a serious crimi-
nal charge.
In the trial of the case of Ben Mc-
Cracken and A. P. Clark charged
with violating the prohibitory law
the suit as as to A. P. Clark was
dismissed and the jury found Mc-
Cracken guilty and today Judge
Sharp overruled motion for a new
trial and sentenced defendant to 30
days in jail and to pay a fine of $50
and cost.

LEGISLATIVE NOTES.
Guthrie, Feb. 5 — The Ilousr ad-
journed this afternoon at fi-e o'clock
until noon Monday
The child labor bill, already offer-
ed, is practically the same as the one
defeated at the last legislature.
Representative Tillotson has a bill
which would give Lenapah a term
of court. The town is in Nowata
county.
The Senate took up the fish and
game bill Friday evening. There
were a number of amendments offer-
ed already.
Lieutenant Governor Bellamy is
still confined to his room at El Reno
and it is not likely that he will return
to the capital before next week.
The Senate Friday refused to at-
tach the emergency section to the
cider bill, as did the House previous-
ly. Emergency sections are being
sparingly used.
Atoka is the latest bidder for the
deaf and dumb institute. A bill by
