Buck Garrett

Story includes recollections from Ardmoreites of events involving Garrett, his work in keeping peace in early Ardmore, his wife "Ma" Garrett, returning Clar Smith Hamon to Ardmore for trial, and many accounts of his generosity and concern. Buck Garrett S Bud Ballew - Lawmen Exploits Recalled

Description: Daily Ardmoreite, Feb. 8 & 9, 1970. Reprint of story of two early Ardmore lawmen written in 1921 by Bill Krohn. Accounts of their work in the Ardmore area are told, along with many shootings. Buck Garrett came to Ardmore at the age of 19 and served as a U. S.
