Southland Brome

Description: Photograph of Southland Brome seeded in October of 1954, using approximately 6 lbs. per acre. 200 lbs. of rock phosphate per acre applied at seeding time. Mainly for bulk and ease of seeding. July 1955 200 lbs. of cleaned certified seed per acre was harvested from this 12 acres and all but 300 lbs. was used to increase this type of planting to approxomately 300 acres on the entire ranch.
