Passenger run between LA and Kansas City for many years, 10 round trips monthly. Average east bound mph 54.3, westbound 60.2; Kingman, a water stop on eastbound run. Travelled 2,585,600 miles. Final steam powered run from LA to Barstow in 1953 when diesel power replaced steam on the Santa Fe line. Now on display in Kingman, AZ. [photo 1 of 2]
