Sandstone Creek Drawdown Structure

Description: Photograph of approximately 6" of rain fell above this site in the period of four days. On April 27th, 1954, 2" fell in twenty five miinutes, 3" fell in one hour on April 29 and 1" fell on April 30. Water rose approximately seven feet above the drowdown structure. Note the water being discharged out of the 24" drawdown structure. Aerial photo.

Description: Photograph of site # 17, Sandstone Creek, near Cheyenne, OK. Photo taken at the same time there was approx. 6.6 feet of water over the drawdown structure. The water level came within several feet of the emergency spillway elevation which is on the right side of the lake. Also note 17-A at the left site of the photo and the stream discharge down by the ranch headquarters below the reservoir site. OK 10-847.
