Description: Photograph of Buffalo grass (Bouteloua dactyloides). A perennial, stoloniferous*, generally dioecious‡, highly palatable, drought-resistant pasture grass. Used for grazing, lawns, erosion control, outlet channels and pasture outlets. Widely adapted to soils where climatically adapted. Best on clay and loam types.
