Newly Constructed Terrace Outlet Follow-up

Description: Photograph of a UNIDENFIED man kneeling in a newly constructed terrace outlet. The back of the photograph proclaims, “Terrace outlet constructed with plow. 10 ft. wide at top and 20 ft. wide at bottom, in 1948. Seeded to 50 lbs. wild rye with a small amount of western wheatgrass; fertilized with 200 lbs. 5-10-5. One terrace was constructed in the fall of 1949. Follow-up on Okla-9899.”

Description: Photograph of an UNIDTENTIFED man (George Nixon") standing on a concrete structure used to control gully erosion. This particular concrete structure is located underneath a bridge. The back of the photograph proclaims, "The bottom of the apron is at stable grade. Gully banks will slough off for a while but will become stable in relation to bootom [sic] of gully."
