Both were riding in the car shown at left, which rammed into the car on the right after being sideswiped by a car driven by Cpl. Joe Manuel Heath, 28, also of Tinker. The third car, which was parked, was unoccupied."

Bob Cortright, 54, of 2236 NW 22, was seriously injured when pinned under his overturned auto after a two-car collision late Thursday at NW 27 and May. He was taken to Wesley hospital suffering from sever head injuries and possible internal injuries after bystanders lifted the car from his body. The driver of the other auto, Shirley Ann Etheredge, 17, of 1824 NW 12, was treated at Mercy hospital for lacerations of the left leg. A police officer is shown checking the accident scene after Courtwright's auto on the left had been turned upright. Miss Etheregde's car spun around after the impact. Cortright is a deputy internal revenue collector."
