Kibby Won Again
The second spelling contest be-
tween Supply and Kibby was held
at Kibby last Friday night, and
for the second time the Supp y
bunch went down to defeat. Some
of those who went from here say
that the Kibby spellers can just |
beat the world, and they intimate
that any other community that
tries to outspell Kibby will have;
to go some. .
A fine new baby girl arrived at I
the I3en Watkins home Valentine’s

Stecher ditched and damaged his
car, but the Stork’s business was
attended to in spite of the doctor’s
mishap, and mother and babe are |
doing splendidly.

The Supply School is making
great preparations for the spell-
ing Tournament to be held on
March 7th. There are 15 schools
invited. Several have already re-
plied and are expecting to enter
the contest. Glen Limb, who is
teaching east of Supply, reporta
that his pupils are entering into
preparation for the contest with
a great deal of interest.
Several of the school boys now
have musical instruments. Those
re per ted are Wilma fit. Clair, cor-
net; William Hurst and Donald
Perry, slide trombone; Sam Perry
comet, and Gano Salyer, saxo-
phone. Others are expecting to
have instruments in the near fu-
ture and take lessons from Prof.
Miller.
The High School is preparing a
Minstrel show, “Aunt Jemima’s
Jubilee” to be given at an early
date. There will be plenty of jazz,
but plenty of melody.
The grades’ shop work is tem-
porarily suspended to give time to
practise spelling for the tourna-
ment. Dr. Stecher says the men
of town can spell down the grade
folks. Get your gang together,
Doc, you’re faded.
The Panhandle Basket Ball
tournament is to be held at Wood-
ward next week. Supply expects
to enter two teams.
Watch the store windows for the
prizes to be given for winners in
the spelling tournament.
Basket Bali
Saturday night, the 16th, Far-
go’s first and second team of boys
and first team of girls met Supply
High on the Supply court.
Fargo girls’ and second team of
boys were the lucky ones to take
home the big end of the score.
Supply’s and Fargo’s first teams
of boys fought a hard battle all of
the last half of the game.
But, S. H. S. was victorious and
won by several points.
