The people of this Council dis-
trict, especially Pawnee county,
will watch very closely the work
of Major Woolsey in the coming
session of the legislature. Voters
who east their ballots for him
were confident of his ability to
redeem the district from the un-
savory reputation given it by his
predecessor. Mr. Woolsey has a
field in which some good work is
needed, lienee liis efforts will lie
watched with much interst.

Is Grovor Cleveland making a
play to be president ngain? One
would be lead so to think by the
activity displayed by him to lie
hoard through the newspapers.
Friends of the ex-president claim
that they will rally to his support
should he again enter the political
arena. As Grover will never be
allowed to run on the democratic
ticket again, perhaps the republi-
cans can do something for him.
He should at least consult with
Frank Greer about making s mid-
