bales of 500-pounds gross weight
The forecast of production based on
the condition of the crop October 1
was the third estimate of the season
and compared with 12380000 bales
forecast a month ago and 11412000
bales forecast two months ago Pro-
duction was 11943000 bales last year
and the average production for the 10
years 1928 to 1937 was 13800000 bales
