Put Graby Lake In
J “Bene Dry” Column
s- - - f
For many years the people have
agitated the matter of draining
grassy lake For many weeks
the weather man has done much
toward placing - that particular
area in the “bone dry’’ column
and from the developments at the
hearing Monday and Tuesday of
this week it now appears certain
that the organization of Improve-
ment District No 1 will shortly
take the work from the hands of
the weather man and carry it on
to a satisfactory degree of com
pletion and permanency
At the hearing the report of
the board of viewers with a few
minor amendments was accepted
by the County Commissioners and
the protests of all tax payers with
one exception were withdrawn
and March 3 was the limit set for
the payment of the assessments
levied on the lands included in the
special tax levy On that date ar-
rangements will be completed for
the bond issue to ruse the money
where assessments have not been
paid
Protests will have to be filed
within 10 days and should any be
filed they will ‘effect only the in-
dividual assessment and wil' in
no way halt the general proposi-
tion therefore it is safe to say that
GRASSY LAKE 7 WILL BE

For Women’s
’ Convenience
Some women are just a trifle
timid about going to a bank to
transact business Why? Simply
because they are not familiar
with the rules of banking
This bank is calculated to be
of special convenience to women
a place where they can come
and feel at home We aim to
make every transaction so clear
and so plain that dealing with
our bank soon becomes to them
an easy habit -
' We appreciate the patronage
of women Their business with
us is already large and steadily
increasing
If you are not already a patron
then please consider this an invi-
tation to become one
