department that such rents or pro-
portionate sharks of individuals
applies lo citizens in possession of
lands of their pro rata share or
having a certificate of possession from
the commission to the five civilized
tribes,
All non-citizens are therefore
hereby respectfully notified to re-
linquish possession of said lands
forthwith, as nil such lands not al-
ready selected and occupied by citi-
zens are considered vacant and
subject allotment or selection by
members of any tribe for allotment.
Any desired information concern-
ing the furthur leasing of lands iu the
Indian Territory can be procured by
communicating with the Commission
to the Five Civilized Tribes.

The daily papers are having much
to say about starvation cure. I'ro.
bably half of our ills results from
mistakes in eating, the greater portion
of the trouble being caused by eating
too much. When disorder results
from taking more food than can lie
digested naturally the remedy is to
relieve the digestive apparatus of
overwork fasting. It is better to
avoid the trouble by giving the di-
gestive organs only such food and in
such quantities as may be easily
digested. In some localities people
are trying the "starvation cure" for
nearly all ills and with varied success.
It has becomc a "fad" and is carried
to excess. It iB interesting to note
the change that has taken place.
