Funeral service for W L Hig-
ginbotham former Woodward resi-
dent was held Saturday afternoon
In the chapel of Byron Mason’s
Funeral Home with Rev C A
Nicholson pastor of the Assembly
of God church officiating Inter-
ment was in Elmwood cemetery
Mr Higginbotham died Thursday
in St Joseph’s hosptlal Wellington
Tex following an extended illness
Walter Lee 'Higginbotham was
bom November 21 1904 at Pal-
estine Texas On July 26 1920
he was united in marriage to Es-
ther Anderson Mr and Mrs Hig-
ginbotham came to Woodward in
1932 where he worked for the M K
& T railroad They have made
their home in Wellington Texas
since 1952 He attended the As-
sembly of God church
Survivors Include his wife Es-
ther of the home in Wellington
two daughters Mrs Mike Stephens
and Mrs Cloyce Millard both of
Wood ward and one grandson also
his father one brother and three
sisters
