Rev. J.H Johnson and wife were
agreably surprised last Monday
night by the folks around town in
the way of a pound party.
At iibout 8:30 o'clock the crowd
that had gathered at Mr and Mrs
Wakeficlds proceeded to the
home of Mr Johnson and gathered
around the door and as Mr John-
son opened it he recieved a great
surprise. There were about fifty
quests present each bearing a
pouud of something- to eat.
After }he usual talking the
young folks sang several bcauti-
lul songs and then played games
while the older folks prepared
one of the best suppers we ever
seen it? our life.
After all had enjoyed .supper
several gamps were played and
at abont 12 o'clock the crowd
departed for home hoping to be
able to spend another sucb night
soon.

Thursday of this week. He is go-
ing into the poultry business in
Eagle City. He intends erecting
a pen and house close to the de-
pot and will pay the highest
market price for bides and poult-
ry.
