Hurricane
By Levi Mosier
That vast devastation,
Wiped out that part of our Nation,
We hope you feel better,
But first read the rest of this letter.
I hope this didn’t tear your family apart,
It probably tore out a piece of your heart,
It was sad listening to the Katrina hurricane,
But there is no one on earth to blame.
Hurricane Katrina
By Mari Butler
Hurricane Katrina was a lot of pain,
It tore through like an on going train.
I know you are caught in devastation,
Maybe even the whole entire Nation.
1 wish I could send you a beautiful flower.
Because I know you have no power,
I wish you could fly away from that place,
I wish you a life full of grace.
I’ve heard about those terrifying things,
And I’ve heard of what they bring,
1 will trust that God will see you through,
Don’t worry, God is watching you.
Hurricane Katrina
By Austin Terbeek
I know you had a hurricane.
And I know it brought you great pain,
I know you had suffering and pain,
From Katrina, the great hurricane.
I know you want more.
As your hearts are tom.
Hurricane Katrina has brought you great devastation,
And vast pain to our Nation.
As the sun set,
Your homes were flooded,
Those waves were insane,
From the great hurricane.
If you want to be back in school,
Then you are cool,
As you sit and cry,
I know you see nothing dry.
Hurricane Katrina
By Ethan Plavchak
I know you had a hurricane,
And that it brought you great pain.
The hurricane might have wiped you out,
And this is much worse than the drought.
I hate that the hurricane brought you trouble,
It has made the Nation humble,
I hope you feel better,
From reading this letter.
1 know the hurricane brought you devastation,
And pain to our whole Nation.
If you want to be back in school,
Then you are super-cool.
Katrina
By Colton Carter
Everything is tossed and tom and in a jumble,
The Nation and I are very humble.
I’m sorry you’re in pain,
I know this hurricane was insane.
Your heart is bruised, you couldn’t cope.
It will take some time to regain hope,
The thing 1 want to give to you,
Is my beloved bear, Boogaloo!
Katrina
By Dakota Skinner
I know the hurricane gave a lot of pain,
I hope these words will take away your pain.
I will send you this poem,
I hope you find a home.
You are suffering all this devastation,
All this misery hurt our Nation,
All this flooding in New Orleans,
Humbles our country through the pain,
Katrina tore my heart in two.

The Hurricane
By John Dean
I hate that the hurricane sent you through all that
trouble,
It’s made the Nation very humble.
We hope you get feeling better,
Hopefully this helps, this little letter.
The hurricane has sent you through so much flood-
ing.
I’m sorry that you went through so much suffering.
I’m sorry it sent you through devastation,
It has affected the whole Nation.
It has made an ache,
Too many homes it did take.
All the homes that have been destroyed,
It is so hard to avoid.
Katrina
By Lane Claxton
1 know you have been suffering and in great pain,
From the Katrina hurricane,
1 hope you get better sooner or later,
The devastation seems so much greater.
The hurricane is such a pain,
, I hope it doesn’t bring any shame,
HYllWtaAhe people in the hurricane,
I will be praying for the people in pain.
Our thoughts and prayers are for good to all,
For when in need to Him you call,
I will pray for you and me,
To the one and only God, He.

Hurricane Katrina
By Hannah Holasek
I know you're in a lot of pain,
From the big huge hurricane,
I know I am far away,
But I feel the very same way.
1 know you’re homeless,
But please don’t feel hopeless,
I hope you like what we are trying to do.
We are trying to give aid and help you through.
