In the enclosed articles Billy Bryant, a former Texas Ranger, reports several stories of early days including an account of his shooting of Bud Blue (Ballew ?) in revenge for the death of his cousin Rufe Hinote. The shooting took place in Ardmore. In the letter Mr. Barker questions the truth of this story, as he was told otherwise as a small boy.
