Main Street in Tulsa

Oklahoma City Church

Description: Photograph of a church located at 8th Street and Robinson Avenue in Oklahoma City. The building was first used by the St. Luke's Methodist Church. In the early 1950's, the Zion Lutheran Church purchased the building and began using it for services. If the 1913 era date of the photo is correct, the building was the St. Luke's Methodist Church at the time the photograph was taken. The church also housed a school, K-8, in the middle to late 1970's.

Hotel Kingkade

Description: Photograph of an artist drawing of the Hotel Kingkade in Oklahoma City, built by Andrew Kingkade, which opened in 1912 at 19 West Grand Avenue (Sheridan Avenue). Pedestrians are visible on the sidewalk outside the hotel and there are horse-drawn vehicles in the street. There are two oval portraits above the building labeled as L. Rardin on the left (the hotel's president at opening) and C. T. Williams on the right (the vice president and manager).
