The grass was side dressed in April, 1952, with 100 pounds of a 33% ammonium nitrate mixture per acre. The grass yielded more than 250 pounds of seed per acre. Class II Soil Unit 2. Description: Photograph of a waterway planted to Bermuda grass sprigs in April, 1949 and then cotton was planted in the same bed with sprig. In the cultivation of cotton a good cover of grass resulted. The waterway was overseeded to King Ranch bluestem in April, 1950. The waterway is 100 feet wide. TX-47, 510.
